Richard W. Dickmann, 20, of Boyden, son of Alvin C. and Nellie (Umland) Dickmann of Rushmore, Minnesota, was killed January 8, in a two car headon collision near Hull. The two cars, driven by Dickmann and Stanley Hulstein, 16, of Hull, collided on a gravel road three miles east and about three miles north of Hull.

Hulstein was hospitalized at Orange City and was reported in satisfactory condition. William Wolbers, 17, of Boyden, a passenger in the Dickmann car, was hospitalized at Sioux City with ankle and jaw fractures.

Funeral services for Richard Dickmann were held at Boyden January 12, 1960.
