Alvin Dickmann, 69, of Boyden, died Tuesday, May 11, in a hospital in Sioux Falls.

Services were Friday at St. John Lutheran Church in Boyden. The Reverend William Lewis officiated. Burial was St. John’s Cemetery.

Mr. Dickmann was born November 7, 1912, in Lyon County. He married Nellie Umland October 3, 1936, in Canton, South Dakota. She died March 25, 1959.

Survivors include one daughter, Mrs. Gary (Judy) Borman of Rock Rapids; two sons, Donald of Inwood and Ronald of Boyden; three sisters, Mrs. William (Erma) Vagysof Boyden, Mrs. William (Nellie) Tiedemann of Hull and Mrs. William La Vina) Davis of Starbuck, Minnesota; one brother, Carl of Orcutt, California; one stepbrother, Bill Koester of Clinton, Wisconsin and two grandchildren.
