Death record has Henry Van Den Brock (Broek) age 20 died 19 May 1930 Orange City IA. Father Frans Van den Broek and Maria Van Beek. He apparently died of Scarlet Fever, before he had had an appendectomy.

Hendrik Van den Broek son of Mr. and Mrs. Frans Van Den Broek 3 and ½ miles west and 1 mile south of Orange city, has died at 10 p.m. Monday evening at the age of 20 years and 10 months. A few weeks ago he was affected by scarlet fever, and on May 10 he had to undergo surgery for appendicitis. This went well, but something else was added. That could not be attenuated, Hendrik was a good boy, who first started working with others this year. His departure is regretted by his parents, his 6 brothers, Gerrit in Maurice, Tony and Frank in Orange City, and Willem Peter and Martin, at home, and 5 sisters, Mrs. W. Van Roekel, and Mrs. P. Smit at Maurice, Mrs. Gerrit Mulder at Orange City and Frances and Henrietta at home, as well as many friends. The funeral service will take place on Thursday at half past one in the parental home. The mortal remains are then spent on the earth at Maurice. Rev. J. H. Straks Maurice will lead the service.
