PARALYTIC STROKE FATAL TO HULL LADY

Mrs. Teunis Brunsting passed away suddenly at her home in Hull Monday evening, October 25th at 7:30 o’clock following a paralytic stroke. She was 65 years old.

Mrs. Hattie Westra, daughter of the deceased, came to her mother’s home in the forenoon to do the washing, while the mother cleaned the house. At about 11 o’clock she complained of pain in her chest so went to lie down. She did not join the family at dinner. Shortly after, she was stricken with a paralytic stroke, and died within a few hours. All the children were home at the time of her death.

Her husband, Teunis Brunsting, was in Rochester, Minn. where he had accompanied his brother-in-law who was operated on for cancer Tuesday morning. He was sent for at once, and arrived home about 3 o’clock, a few minutes after his wife had passed away. Mrs. Brunsting had intended to accompany her husband to Rochester, but her grandchildren were staying with her while their mother helped with house work at the Luke Brunsting home. She had called at the hospital Sunday night to see her grand son who was there with a broken leg.

Funeral services will be held today, Thursday, at 1:30 o’clock from the home and 2 o’clock from the Christian Ref. Church.

Mr. Brunsting has a brother who lives in Rochester and three children. Two sons are doctors in the Mayo Clinic and one daughter is a nurse in the Clinic. He accompanied Mr. Brands to Rochester last week, and they found that Mr. Brands had a tumor which they believed to be cancerous, and operated on him Tuesday morning.
