Rites At Hospers for Mrs. Vd. Beek
Rites were held Dec 12 at Hospers for Mrs. Elizabeth Vander Beek, who died in her sleep Dec 9. Funeral services were held from the First Ref church with Rev. Hellinga in charge, assisted by Rev. G. Doctor of Sibley. Mrs. Vander Beek was born Feb 25 1872 in the Netherlands daughter of the late Mr. and Mrs. Danieal De Kok. She was married in the Netherlands in 1897 to John Vander Beek and the couple came to the US in 1900, settling at De Motte Ind. her husband died in 1930, a daughter in 1917 and a son in 1919.

She is survived by five children: Agnes, Mrs. Ben Verhoef of Moville; Ira of Hollandale MN; Sylvia, Mrs. John Goslinga of Hospers; Gerrit Bellflower CA; and Frank of Sioux Center; also by 10 grandchildren and 8 great grandchildren and one sister Mrs. E. G. Kingma of Demotte Ind. Pallbearers were 6 grandsons, David, Philip, and Darrell Vander Beek of Hollandale MN and Stewart, John and Ervin Goalinga of Hospers. Burial was in Hospers cemetery beside her husband and children.
