Died: November 12, 1991Robert D. Conway, 65, of Hawarden died Tuesday, November 12, at the Veterans Administration Hospital in Sioux Falls.
Services were Friday at the Associated Church in Hawarden with Reverend Fredrick Mallberg officiating. Burial will be at Grace Hill Cemetery.
Robert Conway was born April 5, 1926, in Hawarden, the son of Orville and Neva (Bedard) Conway. He moved to Union County, South Dakota, with his parents as a child and attended rural school. He served in the United States Army and was discharged in 1950. He worked in construction for a short while and farmed for many years in Union County before moving to Hawarden in 1984.
Survivors include two sisters, Eloise Vogelzang of Sioux Falls and Valoris Conway of Akron; and many nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his parents; a brother, Benny; and a sister, Donna Johannsen.
