OBITUARIES – Vande Steeg Baby

Joan Eunice, 2 month old daughter of Mr. and Mrs. John Vande Steeg, died Thursday, November 18, at 1:30 p.m. following a brief illness of bronchial pneumonia. Funeral services were held at 1:30 at the home Saturday with Rev. Mr. L. Nattress officiating.

LITTLE BABE PASSES AWAY

Johanna Eunice, the two months old baby of Mr. and Mrs. John Vande Steeg, passed away Thursday afternoon after a short illness of bronchial pneumonia. Surviving the baby are her parents and two brothers who mourn her death. Funeral services were held at the parental home Saturday afternoon at 1:30 with Rev. L. Nattress, pastor of the American Reformed church, officiating. Interment was made at the Orange City cemetery.

She does not appear in the Sioux County Cemetery Index. Her death certificate has Joan Eunice Vande Steeg, born Sept. 21, 1937 in Orange City; parents John J. Vande Steeg, born in Holland, and Cornelia Heemstra, born in Orange City; died at 1:30 p.m. November 18, 1937, of broncho-pneumonia.
