Lee Allen Keehn, 73, of Hawarden died Friday December 29 at the Hawarden Community Hospital. Funeral services were held Tuesday, January 2 at the Associated Church in Hawarden with Reverend Hebert Young officiating. Burial services were held at the Grace Hill Cemetery under the direction of Dow Funeral Home.

Lee Keehn was born on April 1, 1899 at rural Hawarden. He married Fern M. Anderson on April 12, 1922 at Omaha. He lived in the Hawarden area his entire life. He served as a member of the Board of Directors of the Farmers State Bank; on the Hawarden Community Hospital Board of Directors for 14 years; during which time the new wing was added to the hospital and served as the Buncombe township assessor for 25 years. Mr. Keehn retired from farming in 1951. He was a member of the Masonic Lodge, a member of the Eastern Star and a member of the Associated Church in Hawarden.

He is survived by his wife, one daughter, Mrs. Norman(Betty) Degen of Hawarden, two brothers Ray and Robert of Hawarden, four grandchildren and one great-grandson.
