MRS. CHARLES EARL PASSED AWAY JULY 6TH AT BURKE, SOUTH DAKOTA

Mrs. Charles Earl of Burke, South Dakota, a former resident of this vicinity, passed away at her home early last Tuesday morning, July 6th, following a lingering illness. She had been bedfast for the past month and her death was not unexpected.

Funeral services were held at 2 o’clock last Thursday afternoon at the Baptist Church at Burke and burial was made there.

Anna Anderson was born in Hudson, South Dakota and was almost 64 years old at the time of her death. She grew up in the vicinity of Hudson and after her marriage to Chas Earl she lived on a farm 9 miles northwest of Hawarden. She made her home on this farm for a number of years and later he moved with her family onto a farm near Alsen where they resided eight or nine years. They sold their farm near Alsen about 19 years ago when they purchased a farm on the edge of Burke, South Dakota. Mr. and Mrs. Earl built a beautiful home on this farm and this was their home continuously since they left Alsen.

She is survived by her husband and two daughters, Mrs. Alma Hussey of Remsen and Opal , who is also married and lives at home. She also leaves to mourn her death three sisters, Mrs. Chas. Robinson of Hudson; Mrs. Frank Fowler of Faith, South Dakota and Mrs. George Marshall of Huron, South Dakota and one half-brother, Matt Anderson of Hudson.
