From the Alton Democrat, October 16, 1915 (Rock Valley news):

John Driesen, father of the Driesen boys of this community, and who came here from the Netherlands but a few years ago, died at his home in Rock Valley Friday, October 8th, of pneumonia. He was sixty-eight years old at the time of his death. Funeral took place Monday at the old Reformed church, conducted by Rev. Van Dyk of Sioux Center, pastor of the church. He was buried in Valley View cemetery.

There is a photo of his headstone, but the stone is badly eroded.
