Died: December 2, 1986Alvina Ver Hoef, 82, of Sioux Center died Tuesday, December 2, at her home in Sioux Center.
Services were at 10:30 A.M. Friday, December 5, in Central Reformed Church in Sioux Center. The Reverend Dennis Wilcox officiated. Burial was in Memory Gardens Cemetery under the direction of Vander Ploeg Funeral Home.
The deceased, the former Alvina Te Grothenhuis, was born June 19, 1904, in Sioux Center. She married Bernard Ver Hoef June 19, 1930, at Hull. The couple made their home in Sioux Center. Ver Hoef died January 7, 1977.
To this union three children were born: Mary, Mrs. Hoyt Acuff of Ames, Iowa: Arnold of Sioux Center, Iowa; and Bruce of Sioux Center, Iowa. She is also survived by five grandchildren, three step-grandchildren, one great-grandchild, and five step-great-grandchildren. Three brothers preceded her in death.
