Funeral Here Today For Lane Ver Duin

Funeral services will be held at the Vander Ploeg Funeral Chapel here at 1:30 p.m. today (Thursday) for Leendert "Lane" Ver Duin, 85, retired carpenter and former long-time resident of Sioux Center, who died Sunday at Denver, Coloorado, where he had resided in recent years.

Services will be conducted by the Reverend B. J. Haan and burial will be made in the local cemetery, beside his wife, Hermina (Minnie Rozeboom) who passed away here in 1920.

Survivors include two sons, William, of Denver, and Pete of Billings, Montana, Mrs. Ver Duin was a sister of Richard Rozeboom of Sioux Center and Tony Rozeboom of Carmel.

Mr. Ver Duin had been in ill health for several years prior to his passing. He spent several years in a convalescent home at Orange City and then moved to Denver to be near his son, William, and family. Pallbearers will be P. Schaap, J. C. Klein, Art Klein, Dr. W. Rozeboom, Roy Rozeboom and John Rozeboom.
