From the Sioux County Capital, February 11, 1937:

MARVIN ENGBERS

Marvin, the little nine months old son of Mr. and Mrs. Albert Engbers of Le Mars, died suddenly Friday evening, apparently from heart trouble. Funeral services were held Monday at 1:30 at the First Christian Reformed church with Rev. Mr. R. Bronkema officiating. Interment was at Alton.

His death certificate shows him living at 433 2nd Ave. N.W., Le Mars; born 14 May 1936 at Le Mars; parents Albert Engbers, born at Pella, Iowa, and Wilmina Guerink, born at Orange City, Iowa; died at home at 7 p.m. February 5, 1937; cause, congenital heart disease, absent interventricular system, present from birth.

They had three children that died as infants: Marvella Engbers 1935-1935, Marvin Engbers 1936-1937 and Carol Engbers 1945-1945.
