One of the saddest deaths to shock this community was when word was received last week that Mrs. Ira Jenning had died at her home in Texas. Mrs. Jennings was before her marriage, Miss Tillie Van Zyl, daughter of Cornelius and Helena (Van Es) Van Zyl of Hospers. She was married about a year ago and with her husband went to Texas to make their home.

Her mother, Mrs. Cornelius Van Zyl was just ready to go to her for a visit when a telegram was received that her daughter had died. A day later another telegram was received saying that her baby had also died. The bodies of both were brought to Hospers and the funeral will take place this Thursday afternoon from out the First Reformed Church.

The circumstances surrounding this death are so sorrowful that we have refrained from getting full particulars for a complete obituary, but hope to have such next week. In the mean time the bereaved parents and entire relatives have the sincere sympathy of the entire community in their sorrow.
