Raymond Folger Passes On – Vet. Hospital
From Mrs. John C. Folger comes sad news of the passing of her son, Raymond Folger, at the Veteran hospital in Sawtelle, Calif. on Tuesday, Feb. 9th, after an attack of influenza with complications. Funeral services with military honors were held Friday morning at the hospital chapel conducted by the Chaplain, and interment was in the cemetery at Sawtelle where thousands of other World War veterans are at rest.
Raymond was born in Alton and grew to young manhood here, later moving with his parents to Taopi, Minn. where in 1917 he enlisted for World War service. He was friendly and gentle in disposition, a favorite with old and young, and is remembered kindly by many friends here. He was unmarried, and is survived by his parents, Mr. and Mrs. J. C. Folder of Tujunga, Calif., his older brother, Lynn, also of Tujunga, and by three sisters: Virginia, Mrs. Paul Rockhoven, living in Missouri; Catherine and Lois, both married and living in California.
