Mr. Richard Tiedemann, age 49, of Hull, passed away on Tuesday, February 11, 2020, at his residence.

There will be a memorial service on Saturday, February 15, at 11:30am, at the St. Paul Lutheran church in rural Hull. The Rev. Aaron Deutsch will officiate. Interment will be prior to the service at the St. Paul Lutheran Cemetery in rural Hull. There will be a family prayer service on Saturday, at 10:30am, at the church.

Visitation with the family will be on Friday, from 4:30pm to 6:30pm, at the CHURCH.

Arrangements are with the Oolman Funeral Home in Hull.

Richard Allen was born on June 10, 1970, in Sioux Center, the son of Norman H. H. and Albertha (Spykerboer) Tiedemann. He was raised on a farm near Hull and graduated from the Rock Valley High School in 1989.

He was a lifelong member of the St. Paul Lutheran Church where he was baptized as an infant and made confirmation of his faith in 1984.

Richard worked in the construction business starting at Van Voorst Concrete in Hull when he was still in high school. He later worked for B&M Concrete in Hull, and in 2004, he returned to Van Voorst Concrete.

His family was very important to him. He enjoyed helping his father on the farm and watching his daughter, nephews, and nieces participate in their various school activities.

Survivors include his daughter, Alexandra Tiedemann, of Boyden, and her boyfriend, Jacob Van Der Wilt, of Middleburg; his mother, Albertha, of Luverne, Minnesota; three sisters and their husbands, Nancy and Kevin Jansen, of Orange City; Beth and Russ Zomer, of Sioux Falls, South Dakota; and Lois and Didier Koffi, of Escondido, California; and numerous nieces and nephews.

He was preceded in death by his father, Norman.
