Son of Fred Schlumbohm and Maria Jahde. The 1885 census lists Fred age 27, born abt 1858 Germany living in Buncombe Tsp, So. Co IA married to Mary age 24 abt 1861 Germany. They had one son Adolph born abt 1884 Tama IA.

1900 census of Eagle tsp So. Co. lists Fred Schlumbohm born May 1856 Germany, came to USA 1873, married 1883. They had children – Haliva 13, Annie 11, William 9, August 7, Hilda 4, Frank 2, Hattie 3 mo.

Mr. and Mrs. Fred Schumborm (Schumbohm) of north east Eagle Township, had the sad misfortune to loose two of their children last week from scarlet fever. There are also a number of other cases in the same neighborhood.
