Find a Grave has a photo of the gravestone that also has the inscription of Adolph 1883-1887 on it. Peter was born 29 Sep 1885 and died 11 Nov 1887 buried in St John’s Lutheran Cemetery at Ireton IA.

Assumption – Adolph and Peter were brothers and having died two days apart could have been of some childhood disease sweeping the area in November of 1887.

Mr. and Mrs. Fred Schumborm (Schumbohm) of north east Eagle Township, had the sad misfortune to loose two of their children last week from scarlet fever. There are also a number of other cases in the same neighborhood.
