Mrs. John Doppenberg sr., born Henrietta Mouw, passed away at her home Monday, December 9, at 5 p.m. at the age of 58 years, 5 months, and 17 days.

She was married to Peter Van Peursem January 20, 1910, to this union five children were born. Her husband preceded her in death December 9, 1920.

On June 16, 1943 she married Mr. John Doppenberg Sr.

She leaves to mourn her husband and five children, Marion, Henry, Sadie (Mrs. John Lutchenberg), Wilmyna (Mrs. John B. Draayer), Pearl (Mrs. Myron Oolman), and 8 grandchildren. Also leaving to mourn are three sisters and two brothers.

Three sisters preceded her in death.

Those surviving are Christina (Mrs. George Korver), Jennie (Mrs. Martin Korver), Otto, Johanna (Mrs. John Kleinhesselink), and John.

The deceased lived approximated 50 years on the farm northeast of town, and the remainder of the years in Orange City. She was a member of the First Reformed Church of Orange City.
