Funeral services were held at the Christian Reformed Church in Hospers at 1:30 P.M. Wednesday, April 5, for Mrs. Peter Van Meeteren, 83, of Hospers, who died at the Sheldon Hospital April 3 following a long illness.

Services were conducted by the Reverend Gerrit Docter and burial was made in the Hospers Cemetery.

The former Rena Woudstra was born June 4, 1888 in The Netherlands and came to the United States in 1914. She was married to Peter Van Meeteren at Sheldon February 26, 1914. The couple lived briefly in Sheldon and then moved to Hospers.

Survivors include three sons, Adrian and Charles of Sheldon, Walter of Grand Rapids, Michigan; two daughters, Mrs. Ray (Alice) Van Heuvelen of Sheldon, Mrs. Henry (Jennie) Oldenkamp of Boyden; one brother, Henry Woudstra of Escondido, California; one sister, Mrs. Jennie De Vries of Sheldon; 14 grandchildren and eight great-grandchildren.
