Mr. and Mrs. Gene Van Meeteren became the parents of their first child Tuesday, September 25.

The baby was named Krlstina Jean and passed away on Wednesday, September 26, at St. Luke's Hospital, Sioux City.

Graveside services were held at Westlawn Cemetery on Thursday under the direction of the Van Etten Funeral Home. The Reverend R. Van Heukelom officiated.
