Alfred Van Marel died at his home west of Orange City on Sunday afternoon at the age of 20 years.

He was taken ill with pleurisy about two weeks ago, which later developed into pneumonia.

He leaves to mourn his early departure his father and step-mother, Mr. and Mrs. Gerrit Van Marel, three brothers and two sisters.

The young man will be buried Wednesday, February 20 on his 20th birthday.

Funeral services will be held at the First Reformed Church of which he was a member. Reverend Colenbrander will have charge of the services.
