Hendrik Van Leeuwen immigrated about 1871 to the United States and married in 1899 in Kansas Jacobje Boxum, also born in the Netherlands. His parents are Albertus and Johanna (Overdijking) Van Leeuwen.
He was laid to rest at Valley View Cemetery, Rock Valley, Sioux County, Iowa.
In 1900 they were living in Smith County, Kansas and in 1920 in Sioux County, Iowa. In 1935 and 1940 they resided in Rock Valley, Sioux County, Iowa. In 1940 the 75 years aged Hendrick J. Van Leeuwen has no farm or job there (anymore?).
