Jane Van Hill, 46, of Alvord, died due to cancer, Thursday, August 21, 2003, at her home in Alvord.

Funeral services were held at 1:30 p.m. Saturday, August 23, at First Christian Reformed Church of Rock Valley with burial at Valley View Cemetery.

Jane was born February 24, 1957, at Rock Rapids, Iowa, daughter of Arie and Joan (Hoogendoorn) Van Veldhuizen.

She married Kenneth Van Hill on August 1, 1975, at Rock Valley. Together they lived at Alvord. Jane had worked for K-Products American Identity at Rock Valley and then Rock Rapids for a total of 25 years. She was continuing her education at Southeast Tech at Sioux Falls before her illness.

Surviving relatives include her husband, Kenneth; two sons and their wives, Brent and Laura, Kelvin and Angela all of Alvord; a daughter and her husband, Jerilyn and David Moore of Des Moines; a granddaughter, Makayla De Jong; father and step-mother, Arie and Hermina Van Veldhuizen of Rock Valley; seven sisters and their husbands, Susan and John Bauder of Douglas, Wyoming; Kerry and Dick Spitler of Greeley, Colorado; Arlyce and Peter Den Boer of The Colony, Texas; Julie and Gary Klarenbeek of Auburn, AL, Avis and Alan Bakker of Hull, Iowa; Paula and Thomas Maassen of Rock Valley; Rebecca and Thane Fluit of Alvord; two brothers, James and his wife Sheri Van Veldhuizen, Robert Van Veldhuizen all of Rock Valley; three step-brothers and their wives Harlan and Sue Spaans of Corsica, South Dakota; David and Corrine Spaans of Sioux Center, Iowa; Larry and Bonnie Spaans of Rock Valley.

Jane was preceded in death by her mother Joan Van Veldhuizen; sister, Amy Van Veldhuizen, and brother, Joel Van Veldhuizen.
