Fatally Injured In Fall

Johannes Van Hill of the Carnes vicinity was fatally injured last Thursday morning.

He and his brother-in-law, John Van't Hol were riding on a load of hay near the sandpit northeast of Alton. As they drove up onto the pavement, Mr. Van Hill fell off the wagon and his head struck the cement. He died that same evening.

Johannes Van Hill was born in Barneveld, The Netherlands, 73 years ago, and came to this country in 1900. He married Miss Alice Van't Hol 41 years ago.

Surviving are the widow and six children, Mrs. Gerrit Schoonhoven of Holland, Minnesota, Mrs. Edward Hoogland of Annandale, Minnesota, Richard of Sheldon, Albert of Orange City, and Dick and Wilmyna at home.

There are also 13 grandchildren and 2 brothers, Hendrik of Barneveld, The Netherlands, and Gilbert of Lester, and one sister, Mrs. Dries Pap of Doon.

Funeral services were held Monday afternoon in the First Christian Reformed Church here. Reverend W. Bajema and Reverend Bosch of Maurice officiated.
