On Wednesday evening, Arie Van Es who had been suffering with ulcer of the stomach for some time, died at the age of only 28 years. We understand that three brothers were batching on the farm three miles west and one and a half miles south of Hospers. The parents reside in Orange City.

Funeral services were conducted Saturday at the home, Reverend Van't Hof officiating. Interment was made at the Newkirk Cemetery.
