A FRIEND PASSES AWAY--MRS. VAN GAMMEREN

Mrs. John Van Gammeren, 74, of Sioux Center, Iowa, died December 11, in Sioux City Hospital after a brief illness. The funeral was at 1:30 P.M. December 14 at Lebanon Christian Reformed Church. The Reverend Y. De Jong officiated. Burial was in Lebanon Cemetery under the direction of the Cooperative Funeral Home.

The former Maria De Graaf, she was born August 28, 1898 in The Netherlands. She was married June 10, 1921, at Drogelene, The Netherlands. They came to the United States that same year and have lived near Sioux Center since.

Survivors include the widower, John; two daughters - Johanna, Maria Mrs. Siebren Osinga of Hull and Judith of Sioux Center; two grandchildren and three great-grandchildren; three brothers and three sisters - Adriaan and Arie DeGraaf, Mrs. B. A. VerSteeg, and Mrs. Cor Oost all of the Netherlands; Peter DeGraaf of Hawarden and Mrs. Gerrit DeHaan of Sioux Center.
