Funeral services were held Monday morning at the First Christian Reformed Church for Mrs. Dick Van Gelder who passed away Friday evening in the Nursing Home at Hull where she had been a patient for several months.

Mrs. Van Gelder, nee Nellie Kroeze, was born at Orange City on June 19, 1902. She was united in marriage to Dick Van Gelder on May 17, 1922. They were the parents of six children; Reynold of Alon; Etta, Mrs. Wallace Zwagerman, Hospers; Marjorie, Mrs. John Swets, Orange City; Elizabth, Mrs. Gene Brown, Albert City; Anna, Mrs. Bob Vande Weerd, Rock Valley, and Gerben, Cedar Rapids.

There are 13 grandchildren and the following sisters and brothers: Mrs. Jake Wielenga, Mrs. Herbert Huisman, Mrs. Andrew Huisman, Peter Kroeze, Mrs. Peter Jeltema, Mrs. Marinus Fedders, Mrs. Alton Vink, Steve Kroeze, Mrs. Bob Newendorp, Mrs. Al De Haan, Gary Kroeze, all of Orange City and Mrs. Ken Vande Berg, Rock Rapids.

The Reverend Robert Tjapkes officiated at the funeral services and burial was made at the Westlawn Cemetery under the direction of the Van Etten Funeral Home.
