Mrs. Riek Van Gelder died August 31 at 9:50 p.m. at the home of Dick Van Gelder. She was 73 years of age.

The Marjorie Bakker was born in Oldebroek, the Netherlands, March 5, 1863. On February 16, 1887 she was married to Riek Van Gelder in the Netherlands.

In 1903 Mr. and Mrs. Van Gelder came to the United States with their family. She is survived by the following children: William, John, Dick and Anna, Mrs. Dick Andringa.

One sister is living in the old country.

Funeral services will be held Thursday September 3rd at 1 o’clock at the Dick Van Gelder home and in the First Christian Reformed Church at 1:30 o’clock. Ministers officiating are B.H. Schuurman and J. Vander Lune of Carnes.
