Died: January 24, 1933BERT VAN GELDER DIES IN COLORADO
After an illness of three years with tuberculosis Bert Van Gelder, aged 37 years, died at the sanitarium at Denver, Colorado, where he had been undergoing treatment, on January 24, at 5:30 p.m.
Bert was a mason by trade.
He was born at Orange City, son of Arend and Stijntje (Opgelder) Van Gelder and married Miss Dora Dykstra, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Sjoerd Dykstra, at Orange City on July 24, 1916.
He is survived by his wife and four children, Arie, George, Christina and Donald, as well as by his parents, Arend and Van Gelder, and four brothers and sisters – Anna, Mrs. Sip Starkenburg at Sibley, Edward of Ocheyeddan; John of Marion, South Dakota, and Paul of New Hampton.
Funeral services were held at the First Christian Reformed Church at Orange City Saturday, with the pastor, Reverend D. Bronkema, and Reverend G.W. Hylkema of the 2nd Christian Reformed Church, officiating
