Mrs. Herman Vande Weerd, nee Jacoba "Cora" Kuhl was born at Sioux Center, November 24th, 1895.

She was united in marriage December 4, 1912. To this union 10 children were born.

Mrs. VanDe Weerd was taken to Sacred Heart Hospital at LeMars, March 5 and died March 8 at the age of 58 years, 3 months, and 12 days.

Besides her husband and children there are 14 grandchildren, 5 great-grandchildren, three sisters, Della, Mrs. Clauss Lutjens, Hills, Minnesota, Jennie, Mrs. Henry Vande Vegte, Rock Rapids, Anna Brands, Orange City, four brothers, John, Montrose, Fred, Bellflower, California, George, Hardwick, Minnesota, and Charley, Slayton, Minnesota.

Funeral services were held Friday from the Bernie Meendering home at Hull and from the Baptist church in Sioux Center, with Reverend R. Mulder, in charge. Pallbearers were nephews of deceased. Burial was made in the Hull Cemetery.

Kraai and Van Etten were in charge of arrangements.
