Galen Cyril Droge, 61, of Sioux Center died Friday, Dec. 20, 2002, at Royal C. Johnson Veterans Memorial Hospital in Sioux Falls, S.D.

Services were held on Thursday, Dec. 26 at 7:00 p.m. at Memorial Funeral Home in Sioux Center. The Rev. Gene Murray officiated.

Galen was born July 31,1941, at Seneca, Kan., the son of Walter and Bertha Droge. He graduated from St. Benedict's High School in St. Benedict, Kan. He served in the U.S. Air Force for eight years. He was a mechanic by trade most of his life. He worked at an egg processing plant in Burlington, Wis. On May 26,1983, he married Barbara Kramer in Racine, Wis. The couple later moved to Sioux Center. Galen worked as a mechanic at the Sioux Preme Egg Products maintenance department for many years. He then worked as a security guard at Packerland in Hospers, before retiring.

Survivors include his wife, Barbara; three sons, Galen Jr. of Denham, LA, Deno of Sunshine, LA and Michael of Topeka, Kan.; a daughter, Lisa Frogosa of Round Rock, Tex.; two stepchildren, Joseph Kramer and Diane Meiner, both of Wisconsin; six grandchildren; four step grandchildren; three brothers, Virgil and Walter, both of Topeka and Bill of Kansas City, Kan.;and three sisters, Wilma Gockel of St. Mary's, Kan., Lete Haug of Holton, Kan. and Mary Jane Stattelman of Topeka. He was preceded in death by a grandson, Domonic Frogosa and a brother, Lester.
