Mrs. John G. buried in Hillside cemetery Lester IA. Jennie Vande Vooren, Lester, died Tuesday in the Rock Rapids Health Center. She was 93.

Jennie Van Wyhe was born April 18, 1891 in Sioux County IA On October 13, 1911 in Sioux County, she married John G. Vande Vooren and they farmed in Sioux County until 1919 when they moved to Lyon County were they farmed near Lester. They moved into in the 1940’s.

Mr. Vande Vooren died in 1964 and she continued to live in Lester until 1983, when she moved into Rock Rapids.

Survivors include a son, John Jr. (Don), Lester; Two daughters; Mrs. Elizabeth Moser, Rapid City and Mrs. Wayne (Lois) Schol, Fort Dodge IA; 18 grandchildren and 35 great grandchildren.
Services were held Friday in the United Methodist Church Rock Rapids with burial in the Hillside Cemetery Lester.
