Elsie Dickmann 90 George, Iowa September 3, 2004 Elsie Dickmann, 90, of George died Friday, Sept. 3, 2004, at Good Samaritan Center. • Services were Tuesday, Sept. 7, at St. Paul Lutheran Church, rural Hull, with interment in the church cemetery.

Elsie Kruse was born June 17,1914, near Hull, the daughter of Fred and Louise (Tiedemann) Kruse. She was baptized July 19, 1914, and confirmed April 1,1928, at St. Paul Lutheran Church. She grew up on the family farm and attended Sheridan Township #4 country school, graduating from country school in 1928. She attended Hull High School and graduated in 1932. That summer, Elsie attended Cedar Falls Teachers College and resided at Sen. Hollis' home. In the fall of 1932, she began a six-year teaching career at her childhood school, Sheridan Township #4.

On June 29, 1938, Elsie married Alfred C . Dickmann at her parents' home near Lake Wilson, Minn. They moved to a farm northwest of Hull and later moved to their farm near Edna in 1945. They lived there until 1979 when they moved to their new home in George. She became a resident of George Good Samaritan Center in March 2002. She was a charter member of Helping Hands Ladies Aid at St. Paul Lutheran Church.

Survivors include her husband; three daughters, Mrs. Lawrence (Norene) Funk of George, Mrs. Orville (Wanda) Willemssen of Hull and Mrs. Edgar (Marilyn) Schrick of Rock Rapids; eight grandchildren; eight great-grandchildren and one sister, Viola Goeringer of Bellevue, Wash. She was preceded in death by her parents; two brothers, Edwin and Alvin, and one sister, Lois Halsne.
