Klaas G. De Zeeuw was born Mar. 28, 1913 at Middleburg Iowa. He was a son of Jacob and Anna De Zeeuw. He lived at Middleburg until 1917 then at Shel don, Iowa until 1937. He attended public schools near Sheldon Iowa. On March 18, 1937 he was united in marriage to Artie Van Zee, they lived at Middleburg from 1937-1942; Hartley, Iowa 1942-1944; Sheldon, Iowa, 1944- 1947; they then moved to a farm near Jeffers which has since been their home. To the union came to bless their home two children; Karen Kay and Arlo Lee both of whom survive their father in addition to the wife; Mr. De Zeeuw was a member of the Boyden, Iowa Reformed church. One son, Allen Joy passed away as an infant.

Mr. De Zeeuw leaves to mourn his untimely passing besides his wife and children; His father, Jacob De Zeeuw; 5 sisters and 6 brothers; Sgt. Paul De Zeeuw of El Paso, Texas, Jake of Sheldon, Iowa, Delia, Mrs Henry Van Zee of Kasota, Minn; Anna, Mrs Albertus Blumeyer of George., Iowa, Kathryn, Mrs Henry Oldencamp of St. Peter, Minn; Margaret, Mrs. Erwin Boon of Sheldon; Howard and Lorraine De Zeeuw, both of Sheldon; Joyce, Mrs. Peter Smit of George; and Kenneth and Clifford De Zeeuw of Boyden. Those who preceded him in death are his mother, a sister, Kathryn, and two infant brothers. Mr. De Zeeuw had a lingering illness for sometime and his untimely death brings sorrow to many. He passed away late Friday night at a Mt. Lake, Minn, hospital, where he had received care. At the time of his death, he was 36 years 6 months and 2 days of age.
