Funeral services for Mrs. Gerrit Bakker, 79, Rock Valley, were held Monday, May 5, at 2 P.M. at the Porter Funeral Home in Rock Valley. The Reverend L. Kieboom officiated. Burial was in Valley View Cemetery.

Mrs. Bakker died Friday, May 2, at the Sioux Center Hospital after a lengthy illness.

The former Fannie De Leeuw was born January 17, 1896, daughter of Albert and Jennie (Veltkamp) De Leeuw, in the Netherlands and came to the United States at the age of six. She was married February 23, 1917 in Hull. Mr. Bakker died September 11, 1958.

Survivors include four sons, Albert of Doon, Bernard and John, both of Hull and Henry of Rock Valley; three daughters, Mrs. Martin (Dena) Van Lultikkuizen of Hudsonville, Michigan, Mrs. Clarence (Jennie) De Kam of Rock Valley and Mrs. Gilbert (Angeline) Hoognedoorn of Inwood; 42 grandchildren and 28 great-grandchildren.
