Schade, Claus born 1875 died 1960 buried in Sheridan Cemetery Boyden IA.

Sioux County Index of October 6, 1960

Klaus Schade was born 85 years ago in Obblen, Hanover Germany. Since his mother had died when he was a child he immigrated to America when he was only 15 years old. He came to Boyden Iowa because here he had an uncle living in the person of Peter Meyn. Boyden became his home for the rest of hi life. He worked at various occupations. Perhaps he was best remembered as a clerk in the hardware store of Boyden, where he made many friends, and was respected by all, He was never married.
About a year ago he became too feeble to take care of himself and he became a resident of the Sioux County home in Orange City. Since his condition became worse, he was placed in the Orange City Hospital where he died September 28.
Funeral services were held at the Co-op Funeral Home of Sioux Center on September 30, Rev. P. A. Hinrichs was the pastor in charge. Interment was made in the Boyden Cemetery.

Research note: The 1925 census of Boyden IA lists Klaus Shade age 50 born 1875 Germany, his father was Henry Schade and mother was Lena Rodenberg.
