Dale Noble of Hawarden was listed as "in excellent condition" yesterday by his attending physician following a two car crash on a country road northwest of Hudson which claimed the life of Julie Bakker, 1 year old daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Simon Bakker of Rock Rapids Wednesday afternoon of last week.
Until recently Mr. Noble's condition had been described as serious at the Hawarden Hospital.
Mr. and Mrs. Simon Bakker, parents of the baby who was killed, were hospitalized at Hudson with cuts and bruises.
The Hawarden man suffered head injuries and a broken left shoulder blade.
The Bakkers were traveling north and Mrs. Noble was going east when they collided at the intersection six miles west and two miles north of Hudson.
The Bakker car overturned in a ditch at the northeast corner of the intersection and the other continued down the road for about 100 feet before crashing into a fence.
Patrolman John Anderson of South Dakota motor patrol said it was possible that grove of trees might have obscured the vision of either or both.
