Peter Vande Poppe, 75, Alton, died Tuesday, June 5, at his home in Alton. Services were at 1:30 p.m. Friday, in the Van Gcldcr Funeral Home at Orange City. The Reverend M. Hood officiated. Burial was in the Sherman Township Cemetery at Maurice.

Mr. Vande Poppe was born January 26, 1904, at Harderwyke, The Netherlands. He came to the United States in March, 1929. He married Lucy Jane Mieras February 13, 1934, at Maurice. He was employed as a construction worker, retiring in 1970.

Survivors include the widow; two sons, Peter Jr. of Alton and Elliott of Yucaipa, California: two daughters, Mrs. Ted E. (Marcia) Homan of Alton and Mrs. Dennis (Adienne) Griffith of Pillager, Minnesota, and 11 grandchildren.
