Mrs. George Burgers, 82, of Rock Valley, died Tuesday, October 5, in Hegg Memorial Hospital.

Funeral services were held Friday, October 8, 1:30 P.M. in the Porter Funeral Home with the Reverend J. Van Zweden officiating. Organist, Mrs. William Rozeboom accompanied the singing of Dutch Psalm 103.

Pallbearers were Gerrit Van Engelehoven, Herman Van Den Hul, George Van Den Top, Roger Mulder, Jerry and George Burgers. Burial was in Valley View Cemetery under the direction of Porter Funeral Home.

The former Wilma Zeilstra was born on April 8, 1889 in The Netherlands, the daughter of Wieberen and Aalbertje (Vande Pol) Zeilstra. She married George Burgers on June 14, 1914 in the Netherlands. They came to the United States in 1915 and farmed in the Larchwood and Inwood area before retiring to Rock Valley.

Survivors are the widower; three sons - Weber of Rock Valley, Iowa, Neal of Sioux Falls, South Dakota, and George of Inwood, Iowa; seven daughters - Mrs. Herman (Bertha) Engelenhoven of Sioux Falls, South Dakota, Mrs. Max (Nellie) Van Den Hull, Mrs. Thorwold (Tillie) Olson and Mrs. Jennie Mulder, all of Larchwood, Iowa, Mrs. Dick (Minnie) Van Den Top of Canton, South Dakota, Mrs. Dick (Grace) Boeve of Luverne, Minnesota, Mrs. James (Wilma) Koedam of Doon, Iowa; a brother, Henry, of Trosky, Minnesota; 47 grandchildren and 46 great- grandchildren
