Mrs. Barbara Parkinson, age 85, widow of J. P. Parkinson, died at the home of her daughter, Mrs. Zeola Feuerhelm, in Burbank, California, on Sunday, Dec. 12. She and her husband were pioneers in Lyon County and lived on their farm northwest of Rock Valley for many years. They moved from here to North Dakota and farmed on a large scale until the death of Mr. Parkinson. In later years, she has made her home part of the time in Willow City, N. D, and the rest of the time in California. Besides her daughter, Mrs. Feuerhelm, she leaves, a son, Elwood B Parkinson, LeCanada, Calif, and numerous grandchildren. The Parkinson family still owns a number of farms in Rock Valley vicinity.
