Funeral services were held July 17 for Mrs. Nell Vanden Brink, who passed away at her home in Boyden on July 14, 1950.

Services were at the United Presbyterian Church conducted by Reverend C. Postma and burial was in Sheridan Township Cemetery. Sons and grandsons were pallbearers.

Mrs. Vanden Brink was born in Zaandam, North Holland on July 23, 1869. She came to this country with her parents, Stephen H. and Katie (Baas) De Vries in 1890 and was married to Art Vanden Brink on May 18, 1892, who preceeded her in death in 1926.

They were the parents of children, one daughter, Dora of Boyden and sons, Gerrit, who died in 1894, Steve of Boyden, Art of Sheldon and Raymond of Springfield, Missouri. There are also four grandchildren and three great-grandchildren, two sisters and four brothers.
