MOTHER OF GERTRUDE VANDEN BRINK DIES

Mrs. Steven Vanden Brink, sr., 73, of Sioux Center, died Monday, November 16, in the Sioux Center Hospital.

Funeral services were held Thursday, November 19, 1:30 P.M. in the Cooperative Funeral Home with the Netherlands Reformed Church elders officiating. Burial was in the Community Cemetery.

The former Jennie Van Ravenswaay was born on December 31, 1896 in the Netherlands. She married Steve Vanden Brink, Sr., on February 22, 922 in Ireton. He preceded her in death in 1964.

Survivors are three daughters, Gertrude of Rock Valley, Henrietta of Sioux Center and Josephine of Larchwood; two sons, Steve, Jr., of Hull and Richard of Maurice; two sisters, Mrs. Jake Dibber of Sioux Center and Mrs. William Vander Linden of Sheldon; six brothers, Joe and Tony of Sioux Center, Gerrit of Sheldon, Arie of Ireton, Richard of Artesia, California and Henry of Paramount, California and eight grandchildren.
