WATERMAN RITES TO BE SATURDAY

Elsie Waterman, 83, a resident of Hawarden 66 years, died Wednesday morning at a nursing home here.

Funeral services will be held at 1:30 Saturday afternoon at the Barnard-Dow Funeral Home with Reverend Herbert Young officiating. Burial will be at Grace Hill Cemetery.

Elsie, daughter of Eli and Betty (Hadfield) Garkie, was born at La Grange, Missouri, July 2, 1883. She married Marvin S. Waterman June 18, 1901, in Le Grange, Missouri. They have resided in Hawarden area since their marriage.

Survivors include the widower, Marvin; four sons, Nolen of Le Grand, Iowa, Merlyn, Raymond and Curtis of Waterloo; five daughters: Mrs. Henry Rankin of Lorenz, Iowa; Mrs. Norman Droggy of Los Angeles; Mrs. Audrey Brice of Hawarden; Mrs. Henry Schwiesow and Mrs. John Blankenship of Hawarden.
