Philip T. Walker, 78, Ireton, died April 26 at the Hawarden Hospital following a lingering illness. Funeral services were held Monday, April 29, at the United Methodist Church in Ireton with Dr. G.S. Bruland officiating. Burial was in Pleasant Hill Cemetery with Dow Funeral Home in charge.

Mr. Walker was born August 4, 1889 near Ireton. He was married July 26, 1911 to Cora W. Riegel. They farmed near Ireton until retirement in 1943 when they moved to Ireton. Mrs. Walker died in 1944.

Survivors are two sons - David and Lynn, both of Ireton, Iowa; four grandchildren and one great- grandchild.
