Mr. Johan Hendrick "Henry" Wandscheer passed away early Tuesday morning at the Sioux Center Community Hospital at the age of 87 years, 5 months, and 26 days.

Mr. Wandscheer came to America with his parents at the early age of five years. He came to Sioux Center and spent all of his life there. On September 25, 1913 he was united in marriage to Elizabeth De Zeeuw and to this union two children were born, Marie, Mrs. Ed Lancaster of Orange City and John of Kansa City, Missouri.

Besides his wife and children he is also survived by two grandchildren and the following brothers and sisters, Daatje, Mrs. Gerrit Peelen of Sheldon, Dan and Ed both of Sioux Center and Ida, Mrs. John Van Wyhe of Rock Rapids. The following brothers and sisters preceded him in death: Gertie, Mrs. C. Punt; Marie, Mrs. G.J. Wesselink; Jake; Gerrit; Henrietta, Mrs. John Dykstra; Rena, Mrs. John Postma and Ben. Also one brother and sister died in infancy.

Funeral services were held Friday, April 9 at the First Reformed Church with Reverend P.A. De Jong officiating. Pallbearers were Harold Wandscheer, Henry Wesselink, Jake Peelan, James Wandscheer, Arend Voorderman and Dan Voorderman. Burial was in the Community Cemetery, Sioux Center.
