From the Sioux Center News, March 8, 1934:

Mr. and Mrs. Henry A. Vande Berg were bereaved by the death of the infant daughter, Marjorie Anne who passed away Sunday. Pneumonia was the cause of her death. Funeral services were held Tuesday at the home at Maurice, Rev. Straaks officiating. Interment was in the Orange City cemetery. Besides her parents the five months old baby is survived by four brothers.

RESEARCH NOTES

A news note in the Alton Democrat, March 9, 1934, Orange City hospital news, says she died Saturday evening [presumably in the Orange City hospital].

The Sioux County Cemetery Index has Vande Berg, Marjorie Ann, b. 1933, d. 1934, ss Arloa Jean, dau of H. & G., West Lawn, Orange City. [Arloa Jean was another daughter of H. and G., b. 1936, d. 1937]

Her death certificate has her as Marjore Ann Vander Berg; born October 15, 1933 at Maurice, Iowa; parents Henry Vander Berg and Cora Van’t Hull, both born in Sioux County; died in Maurice at 8:00 p.m. March 3, 1934; cause, lobar pneumonia.

FindaGrave.com gives her parents as Henry J. Van De Berg (1897-1968) and Cornelia Van De Berg (1899-1965). (Neither of them appear in the Sioux County Cemetery Index).
