From the Sioux Center News, March 8, 1931:

The Peter Moerman home was saddened by the death of their 7 ½ month old son, Leonard Paul, last week Wednesday. Besides many friends those mourning the loss of the infant son are the parents and ten brothers and sisters.

His death certificate gives his birth date as September 28, 1933 at Sioux Center, a painter’s son; parents Peter Moerman and Tryntje Schelling, both born in the Netherlands; died in Sioux Center at 9:45 p.m. February 28, 1934; cause, bronchitis and chicken pox, for which the doctor had treated him since February 24; buried at Sioux Center [he does not appear in the Sioux County Cemetery Index].
