Services held for Mrs. Simon Wagenaar

Funeral services for Mrs. Simon Wagenaar, 85, were held at the Van Etten Funeral Home, Friday, October 17 at 1:30 p.m. with the Reverend R. Van Heukelom officiating.

Burial was made at the Westlawn Cemetery under the direction of the Van Etten Funeral Home. Pallbearers were Charles Harmelink, Henry Harmelink, Cornie Harmelink, John Van Gelder, Dick Van Gelder and William Van Gelder.

Mrs. Simon Wagenaar (nee Alice Te Veer) was born February 28, 1884. She came to Orange City as a young girl, and was married to Simon Wagenaar.

Mrs. Wagenaar passed away on October 15, 1969 after being a patient in the Extended Care Facilities for several years. Mr. Wagenaar preceded her in death.

Survivors include sisters in the Netherlands and several nieces and nephews in the area. Coming from a distance for the funeral service was Mrs. Betty Wagenaar of Brookings, South Dakota.
