Mr. Jacob "Jake" Tutje, long time secretary of the Matlock School District, passed away last week from a heart attack.

Jake was a real friend of the schools and always worked for the best interests of Matlock and his community. He will be greatly missed by all.

This column wishes to express our sympathy to his friends and relatives.

Note: He was married to Florence E. Imogene Fassett Tutje. She passed away September 7, 1936. They both were laid to rest at Greenwood Cemetery, Matlock, Sioux County, Iowa.
